For a tunnel that worth billions of ringgit and the smartest in the world, the race (Smart Tunnel Run) itself was not smart at all. First they started too late (not punctual), it was damn hot inside there (now i know what it really feels like if you ever wonder what happen to you hands if you stuff them in an oven because that was how i really felt), so disorganized, paklah tak datang puunnn, and the stupidest thing of all was the water station. Gila betul.. 16K and no water? u kidding me? there were 3 water stations but by the time us the run-walk-run people reach there, there were none. It's stupid because you were expecting like 3,000 runners and u prepare water bottle for like 200 people only? Come on laaaa... i bet if there were beginners in there, which i bet a lot, would never want to join any other races no more. Mark my word. Ish, bengang giller aku... nway, lambat sampai dapat jugak medal. hehe... at least there's something to show my grandkids in the future :) .. u know, grandma once stupidly ran in this tunnel :P (pictures from pmtey and faie)

Shit, i looked like promoting my ever loyal gatorade here, which i drank 3/4 at home and dengan confident nyer thinking "ah of course these people will prepare water for us"... lesson: NEVER ASSUME! oh and this is before the first water station. I saw plastic cups on the floor and alleluia, bottles... cepat2 i habiskan gatorade... water! water! water! Just to discover that no one was there!!! Stupid, stupid whoever is organizing the run! and go to this blog -> runwitme for more details on how stupid this run was.

Fully agreed! This is more like a Sauna Run! Not forgetting the so call VIP cars coming through at the starting point.. rediculous!

hi mary,,seriously i agree with u ...what a silly run..i am a guys who runs for fun...not for competition. this was far from fun...there were no water for long distances..this is one of the worst organisers ever...but thank god the technical side did a good job thanks to (FTAAA) . thanks guys..

for runners' sake, only experienced and specialised event organizers should be hired to organize a run. Like FTAAA is a specialised association that is meant to develop athletics and they had done a good job in recording and results.
I think the event organizer for the Smart run forgot about water for people.
But dont let one bad experience put you off from other runs.
Dont forget most runs in KL and Selangor are well organized.
it is not FTAAA's fault...the blame should be pointed somewhere else in my opinion...

believe this, i've given up on any gohmen (or ministry) or small local council organised/sponsored race.
one of the worse experience was the Gua Tempurung Adventure race which was so called organised by the Majlis Daerah Gopeng.
